About us

Witherslack Group provides specialist education and care for children and young people with social, emotional, mental health and complex learning needs. We also support those with communication difficulties (autistic spectrum conditions, Asperger’s Syndrome, speech, language and communication needs).

Our highly talented team enables us to stand out from the competition. We provide a quality of service that is unique in our sector, helping us create truly inspirational environments for every young person in our care. This allows us to make a real difference to the lives of young people, their parents and carers.

The support we offer has been recognised time and time again. Ofsted judgements rank us as the UK’s leading education and care provider.

What we do

We give children and young people the support and care to become confident, independent and capable individuals. Through our inspirational schools, children’s homes and learning centres, we provide them with the knowledge, experience and life skills to fulfil their dreams for the future.

Our schools, children’s homes and integrated learning centres provide complete day, residential and 52 week education and care. Together, they offer a full range of academic and vocational options for children from primary age to post-16.

Our Mission

We want every young person to get the most from life. We aim to maximise their opportunities while giving parents and carers peace of mind. At the same time, we deliver unmatched value for local authorities. This is achieved through our expert blend of therapeutic, emotional and educational support.

We focus on each child, giving them stability and support – we call this our ‘internal team around the child’ approach. This allows us to set high aspirations and inspire young people to achieve them.
