How We Grow Registered Managers
Our Management Trainee Programme is an exciting new way to build a rewarding career. Over four to five years, you will learn, gain qualifications and see yourself fast-tracked into the role of Registered Manager. We want you to inspire this team to do more than care – to give every child a bright and promising future.
You’ll start by getting to know our organisation: our schools, homes and head office. You’ll meet our directors and senior leadership team, and build an in-depth understanding of Witherslack Group. If you haven’t got a Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare, your first step will be to achieve this, studying over 12-18 months while working as a Residential Care Practitioner. Throughout the Programme, you’ll be working alongside a highly skilled and experienced team and will also be able to rely on a ‘Training Buddy’ and our Trainee Programme Manager to provide ongoing support. Then there’s our range of excellent Leadership & Development training. It’s all designed to help you succeed and speed you on your way.
We’re looking for the drive to succeed in a demanding but highly rewarding field. To be a Management Trainee, you must be passionate about changing children’s lives and committed to doing your best for them. You need to be robust, organised and brilliant with people. After all, you’ll be dealing with children, parents and teams as well as outside agencies. If you can bring high standards and a talent for communication, you could have the potential to be an exceptional leader.
