Richard WilkinsAssociate Director

Richard has been with Witherslack Group since day one. He started as a community service volunteer at one of our schools and has progressed to become our Associate Director!

Alison LindsayRegistered Manager

Alison joined us in 2002 as a Residential Support Worker, she moved around the Group to develop her expertise and rose through the ranks to become Registered Manager in 2014.

Cherry GraceEnglish Teacher (KS3)

Cherry joined as a Teaching Assistant in 2010, bringing a wealth of experience from mainstream and special needs schools. After completing a whole range of training she is now a Teacher.

Monica Beacroft Local Authority Partnership Manager

Before joining Witherslack Group, Monica studied Psychology at university and worked as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist within CAMHS, Learning Disabilities and Children’s Services.

Simon MichelLead Practitioner

Simon joined as a Pastoral Care Manager at Chilworth House School in 2012. He came to us with great experience in Early Intervention and Youth Offending teams.

Cris BeattieRegistered Manager

Cris Beattie started in 2009 as a Shift Leader at The Grange Children’s Home. He was then promoted to Team Leader, Deputy and finally Manager in 2012.

Learning and Development

At Witherslack Group, learning and development is hugely important. So what can you expect when you join the team?


You’ll start with a thorough induction programme to help you get to know us better. Meanwhile, your line manager will explain our procedures and expectations, and prepare you for your new role.


Within the first six months, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of your role and Witherslack Group as a whole. This will be through attending off site training, which is held at various locations throughout the country, completing training and work shadowing in your own establishment, as well as online training courses.
